A homeowner in Littlehampton contacted us after noticing water ingress through the lead flashing on their chimney. On closer inspection, the chimney was in serious deterioration — crumbling mortar, failing brickwork, and a flue that had seen better days. Within a week we had scaffold erected with a rubble chute and got to work taking it down course by course.
The brick-on-edge coping along this gable end had been cracking for some time — gravity doing what gravity does, slowly pulling the brickwork away from the wall. Scaffold went up, the failing sections came down, and we rebuilt it properly. Every brick tied back with L-shaped ties screwed into wall plugs, each hole sealed with silicone to stop any water finding its way in. No shortcuts, no bodge jobs. Very happy customer.
